Happy long weekend to everyone that gets Labour Day off! I’m pretty excited to have a 3 day weekend. This week was pretty chaotic with starting to move on Sunday and then continuing on Monday and Tuesday. Thankfully I’m still on a reduced running schedule after Black Spur Ultra which gave me a little more time to try to get everything organized.
I ran at lunch twice this week. When I’m tight on time, running at lunch helps a lot because then I have more time after work and I don’t have to wake up at 5:30am! My office is also within a couple km of a beach and the waterfront path so there are great running options around. The problem is that there is no shower at my office so I can’t run at lunch if I have any meetings in the afternoon. But if I’m just going to sit at my desk all afternoon then I clean up as much as I can and shower when I get home. It’s not ideal but it works and is a huge time saver!
I also started to get ready for my next race! On Saturday, I met up with my friend Sigrid to figure out details about our road trip to Wisconsin for the North Face Endurance Challenge Series run in less than two weeks! I’ve never camped at a race before so I’m going to write a post about what were bringing and how we’re preparing. It’s happening so soon!! Friday – 10km run & 45 min strength class
